Docker is an open-source project for virtualizing operating systems in encapsulated sections called containers. Unlike a full-fledged VM, which emulates a completely different operating system than the host system through hardware virtualization, containers are isolated areas on the host machine.

Overview

Docker enables automatic deployment, scaling and management of applications running in containers. In combination, these two technologies are an unbeatable team.

Basic knowledge in the areas of Linux, bash, network technologies and Git are useful foundations for this workshop. Furthermore, you need a notebook with Window, MacOS or Linux. One week before the workshop, you will receive an email with step-by-step preparation to prepare your notebook for training and avoid wasting valuable time on active presence days.
